While buying a new home can seem overwhelming, you'll find that choosing your very own home at the Hamptons of Hinsdale is a pleasant experience, one where you'll appreciate our experience and guidance, but where we rely on your input and direction.

The homebuying process is broken out into five stages:

• Selecting your home
• Beginning the application process
• Specifying your home's selections and finishes
• Participating in the building process
• Closing on your home and moving in

Selecting Your Home

The Hamptons of Hinsdale is a planned community of traditionally-styled townhomes and condominiums in a landscaped, parklike setting.

As a first step in the homebuying process, we invite you to choose one of our condominium or townhome models, carefully considering the size and features of each residence with your lifestyle needs and requirements in mind.

In some instances, you may be able to customize certain features and aspects of your new home to your needs and specifications. While more involved than simply choosing one of our current home designs, this option gives flexibility in making changes to accommodate your own tastes and requirements.

In each case, our sales consultants will work with you to make your home uniquely yours.

Beginning the Application Process

You've chosen your new home and where it's going to be built at The Hamptons of Hinsdale. Next you'll work with one of our sales consultants to complete the necessary paperwork and get the building process started.

Relax. We've handled hundreds of home sales before and we're experts in making this part of the process simple and straightforward. You'll be asked to forward certain documents and information to us and if you don't have a Preferred Lender in mind, we can certainly recommend some that we've worked with before who are intimately familiar with how we do business.

Specifying Your Home's Selections and Finishes

At this stage you'll be customizing your home's selections, finishes and appointments in our well-appointed Custom Selections Center, located at our sales center. This is the time to determine kitchen and bathroom cabinet choices, appliance selections, tile and carpeting preferences, paint colors and finishes and much more.

Participating in the Building Process

There are a couple of milestones during the construction process where we'll walk through your new home inspecting its progress.

The first of these is the Rough Framing and Electrical Inspection. During this inspection, you'll be able to examine and approve the positioning of electrical lights, outlets, etc. After these have been approved, your home's walls will be drywalled and final trimwork and finishing will begin.

Next comes the Pre-Closing Walk-Through, where you can review your completed home, mechanical and maintenance upkeep is explained and where a punch list of any needed finalizations is prepared.

Closing on Your Home and Moving In

The last step is the one you've been waiting for! Your home is complete and the closing papers have been signed. Any necessary financing has been finalized, we go over our warranty information and process and the keys to your new home are handed over.
